Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump have gone public with their relationship by posting two pictures on social media, declaring ‘love is in the air’.

It comes 10 days after DailyMail.com exclusively broke the news that the golf icon was dating Donald Trump Jr.’s ex-wife.

Alongside two pictures of the loved-up couple, Woods wrote on Sunday night: ‘Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together.

‘At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.’

Among the first people to offer their congratulations was Ivanka Trump, formerly Vanessa’s sister-in-law.

She commented on the post ‘So happy for you both’ while adding a number of emojis with love hearts.

Woods, 49, and Vanessa, 47, who both live in Florida, have been together since Thanksgiving, DailyMail.com confirmed with four sources.

They live 20 minutes apart in the wealthy southern Florida enclave of Palm Beach and were spotted together at a golf tournament last month.

The golf legend, who has not been in a high-profile relationship for the last two years, has struck up the romance amid doubts over his future in the sport following a string of injuries.

Vanessa married the president’s eldest child back in 2005, before they eventually went their separate ways 13 years later.

She and Don Jr. have five children together, with Tiger recently spotted alongside their eldest daughter Kai at the PGA Tour’s Genesis Invitational event last month.

Kai, 17, and Woods’ children Charlie, 16, and Sam, 17, all attend the $38,595-a-year The Benjamin School together.

Woods and Vanessa were absent from the junior golf tournament in South Carolina that both Kai and Charlie played in this week.

Don Jr. was also absent from the contest, despite sources saying he is ‘cool’ with his ex-wife’s new relationship. Woods’s ex-wife Elin Nordegren was also a no-show at the event.

It comes after DailyMail.com revealed that Woods called Elin to tell her the news over fears that knowledge of their tryst would leak.

He called the 45-year-old shortly after they started dating, with a source revealing to DailyMail.com that the short and awkward call only lasted a few minutes.

‘Tiger and Elin are supportive of each other’, they said.

‘Her response at first was like ‘Seriously? A Trump? For real?’,’ the insider says. ‘She was more amused than anything. But she really quickly just accepted it.

‘They’re not the type to give each other their ‘blessing’ per se, but they keep each other in the loop with anyone who is going to spend any amount of time around the kids.’

Other members of the Trump family, including all five of Vanessa and Don Jr.’s children, were already aware they are an item, one source said.

A source said: ‘Tiger and Vanessa have been seeing each other since just before Thanksgiving.

‘She comes to his place on Jupiter Island. They’re not living together. She comes over maybe a few nights a week.

‘They just love hanging out, having dinner and schmoozing together. They’re sticking close to home, have decided not to make it a thing and go out in public. Not just yet anyway.’

The former model and mother of five filed for an uncontested divorce from Don Jr. on March 15, 2018 in New York.

Since they officially split she has not had a high-profile relationship.

Meanwhile Woods’ love life has been a highly controversial one over the years, with a string of highly public romances.

He first met Swedish model Nordegren in 2001, before proposing two years later. The couple then made it official at a lavish wedding the following year.

They welcomed daughter Sam in 2007 and son Charlie in 2009, a year prior to the infamous sex scandal that brought their marriage crashing down in shocking fashion.

Elin divorced Tiger in 2010 after six years of marriage when she discovered the golfing great was cheating on her during Thanksgiving week with a woman named Rachel Uchitel.

Two days later, a car crash outside his own Florida mansion would unearth the truth.

In the aftermath of the crash, Woods was found by police asleep in the road without shoes and socks on after Elin tried to smash her way into the car with a golf club.

Her worst fears were then confirmed after she spotted a text on Woods’ phone while he lay unconscious, dosed up on sleeping pills.

What followed was one of the most dramatic collapses of a star’s reputation across sport as a number of other women later came forward to claim they’d been intimate with him.

Four years later, Woods finally bounced back from that ordeal with American alpine ski racer Lindsay Vonn, with the pair’s previous friendship slowly turning into something more.

They were seen out together on several occasions over the course of their unlikely romance, before parting company after three years together in 2015.

Their relationship ended some time before August 2017. It was reported that Woods had an affair with Erica Herman during his relationship with Smith.

Herman, who worked as the general manager at Woods’ Jupiter restaurant, started dating the golf legend in 2017.

However, originally, the pair did not make the relationship official until a short time after.

After six years together, the pair ended their relationship in October 2022.

Tiger appears to have been getting increasingly close to the Trump family in recent months.

Last month, at the PGA Tour’s Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines in California, he and Vanessa were pictured arriving together.

Kai, who committed to playing golf at the University of Miami next year, wore an outfit from Woods’ clothing line.

In February, Vanessa took Kai to watch a round of the TGL, the golf league created by Woods and Rory McIlroy.

Meanwhile, President Trump met up with Woods for a round of golf last month.

Don Jr. has been a close adviser to his father and helped take over much of the business.

Woods recently suffered a major setback in his plan to return to golf when he revealed he had ruptured his Achilles tendon.

The 15-time major winner was preparing for his latest comeback at home in Florida when he felt a ‘sharp pain’ in his left heel.

He underwent surgery on March 11 and is expected to make a full recovery, but has been ruled out of the Masters next month.

In a statement, Woods said: ‘As I began to ramp up my own training and practice at home, I felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles, which was deemed to be ruptured.

‘This morning, Dr. Charlton Stucken of Hospital for Special Surgery in West Palm Beach, Florida performed a minimally-invasive Achilles tendon repair for a ruptured tendon.

‘I am back home now and plan to focus on my recovery and rehab, thank you for all the support.’
