Lady Gaga Gives Subtle Shoutout to Taylor Swift While Addressing Pregnancy Rumors

Lady Gaga took to social media to dispel rumors of her pregnancy, referencing a Taylor Swift lyric in the process.

“Not pregnant – just down bad cryin’ at the gym,” Gaga captioned her post, quoting Swift’s new song “Down Bad” from the album The Tortured Poets Department.

Speculation about the “Poker Face” singer expecting a child with her boyfriend, Michael Polansky, arose after she attended her sister Natali Germanotta’s wedding in Maine.

Swift herself responded in the comments, standing up for Gaga and addressing those commenting on her body. “Can we all agree that it’s invasive & irresponsible to comment on a woman’s body. Gaga doesn’t owe anyone an explanation & neither does any woman. 💋,” she wrote on the TikTok.

In the video, Gaga was in the midst of a glam session, sporting a nude wig cap and bold black eyeliner. She lip-synced to a trending TikTok sound, saying, “I don’t have to find an aesthetic, I am an aesthetic. I mean, I’m sure there’s somebody out here right now who is going into Pinterest trying to type up all these adjectives to describe me.”

She also used the caption to encourage her followers to register to vote, writing, “Register to vote or check if you’re registered EASILY at www.headcount.org.”

Fans were ecstatic to see Gaga referencing Taylor Swift, expressing their excitement in the comments.

Although Gaga shut down the pregnancy rumors, she has made it clear that having children is in her future plans.

“I will say I am very excited to have kids,” she told InStyle in 2020. “I look forward to being a mom. Isn’t it incredible what we can do? We can hold a human inside and grow it.
