Prince Harry congratulated Kate Middleton on Wimbledon appearance, happy ‘to see her out’: report
Prince Harry reached out to his estranged sister-in-law Kate Middleton following her triumphant appearance at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships on July 14, according to a report.
The Princess of Wales, 42, was greeted with a standing ovation at the annual grand slam – just four months after she revealed her cancer diagnosis to the world in March.
And it seems as though her return to the tennis tournament as patron left the Duke of Sussex in awe, as he reportedly reached out to congratulate her on attending the matchup.
“Harry was watching Wimbledon and was thrilled to see Kate looking so radiant,” a source told Heat magazine.
“He sent her a note to congratulate her and let her know how happy he was to see her out.”
“He’s just so grateful that she’s on the mend and able to get back to her duties after taking time off as is Meghan,” the insider added.
The Post has reached out to Harry’s reps for comment.
Middleton delighted fans at the All England Lawn Tennis Club as she showed up with her 9-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte, and sister Pippa Middleton.
An expert lip reader has since decoded the beloved royal’s reaction to the roaring applause she received upon arrival at the matchup, which saw Carlos Alcaraz defeat Novak Djokovic in straight sets.
Prominent royal author Robert Jobson has since said that the royal “showed a lot of courage and character, as she knew that the world was watching.”
His comments were echoed by a palace insider, who told the outlet that her outing likely gave her “sustenance.”
After her appearance, the princess took to social media to share her joy at being back at SW19.
“Great to be back at @Wimbledon! There’s nothing quite like The Championships,” she wrote on X.
Still, while the mom of three’s appearance was a welcome surprise, it appears as though we won’t be seeing Middleton out in public for the rest of the summer.
Jobson has given insight into the royal’s recovery plans, and said that she will now be retreating from the public eye to enjoy the summer months with her family.
The Waleses will seemingly spend the warm summer at their country home of Anmer Hall, located on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England.
It’s likely that Middleton, along with her husband, Prince William, and their three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, will meet up with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Balmoral Castle later on, where Their Majesties will be spending their summer.
