Mariah Carey’s three-word response to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s lavish Italian wedding has gone viral.

The singer, 56, was asked about her thoughts on the billionaire Amazon founder’s $50million nuptials over the weekend, and her reply was interpreted by some fans as subtle shade.

‘What did you think about Jeff Bezos’ wedding?’ a photographer questioned the We Belong Together hitmaker as she walked down the street, in a clip that’s gone viral on X.

‘I wasn’t there,’ the Grammy winner replied, with fans quickly comparing the response to Mariah’s infamous ‘I don’t know her’ quote back in 2003, in regards to music rival Jennifer Lopez.

Mariah was then asked: ‘Were you not invited or what?’

She graciously chuckled and replied, ‘Oh, don’t turn this into that.’

Fans were left amused by her reply, with one writing, ‘I don’t think she knows them [crying emoji].’

Carey coined the seemingly dismissive phrase in 2003 when she was asked on her thoughts about Lopez. Smiling, she simply replied, ‘I don’t know her.’

One fan left a meme of her saying the quote underneath the new video.

‘Who? What wedding she doesn’t know it,’ another person added with a laughing emoji.

‘Her saying I wasn’t there she clearly knows who he is come on,’ someone else added with another crying out laughing emoji.

‘Love she had a sense of humor about it.’

Mariah cut a stylish figure, wearing a long-sleeve black top with blue jeans and open-toe black platform heels for the outing.

She wore her long blonde tresses in a side ponytail and shielded her eyes with a pair of sunglasses.

Jeff and his bride exchanged vows at the most lavish celebrity wedding for a generation, attended by the world’s most famous stars.

Though Mariah wasn’t at the star-studded three-day wedding extravaganza, the nuptials were attended by numerous A-listers.

Among the 200 VIP guests was Sydney Sweeney, Kim Kardashian, her sister Kylie Jenner as well as mom Kris Jenner, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Brady, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner, and Orlando Bloom.

As the world’s wealthiest men and women gathered in a 16th-century basilica at Giorgio Maggiore island to celebrate the Amazon mogul’s nuptials, they brought together a total wealth of more than $461billion.

They included tech billionaires, reality TV dynasties and legends of film and TV – who danced away among the glittering Venetian canals until the early hours of this morning.

Reportedly costing $20million and stirring fury among the local residents, stars were treated to a $1,000-a-head meal while there was a strict no-phone policy at the ‘extremely intimate’ affair.

The celebration continued this past weekend as the couple spent their ‘honeymoon’ partying on a yacht with recently split couple, Katy Perry and Orlando, in Capri.

Meanwhile Mariah showed off her jaw-dropping weight loss during a trip to Disneyland this weekend.

In a nod to her surroundings, she wore a pair of Minnie Mouse ears with oversized sunglasses as she shielded herself from the sun.

Known for her diva ways, Mariah was assisted by an aide who held an umbrella over her head to prevent the sun beating down.

Earlier this month, the hitmaker then sat down with DJs Ebro Darden and Zane Lowe to chat in LA, where she teased her upcoming sixteenth studio album.

It marks her first LP in eight years and first since partnering with new music company Gamma for her comeback, after leaving label Epic Records, who released her last album Caution in 2018.

Last month, Mariah released the lead single, Type Dangerous, which debuted at number 95 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Chatting to Zane and Ebro, she teased: ‘What is next? Well it’s the album coming out! I don’t want tell too much about it because I just don’t want to reveal the whole thing.’

However, the All I Want For Christmas star confirmed that the album was finished and would be made up of ’11 or 12 songs’, before adding: ‘We got some Mariah ballads’ to cheers from the crowd.

She continued: ‘Second single is coming soon, I’ve very excited about it. It’s very summery, I like the beat as well’.

According to Forbes, the songstress, who has 19 number one singles, is aiming to get her 20th chart topper with Type Dangerous.

‘She’s fighting to stay contemporary,’ her longtime producer LA Reid told the publication.
