The incident occurred on January 7, when Good, a U.S. citizen, mother of three, poet, and Minneapolis resident, was shot and killed by ICE agent Jonathan Ross during an immigration enforcement operation.

Federal authorities, including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), have maintained that the shooting was in self-defense, claiming Good weaponized her SUV by accelerating toward officers.

However, widely circulated bystander and official video footage has fueled controversy, with local leaders—including Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey—disputing the narrative and demanding ICE leave the city.

On January 9, Eilish used her massive Instagram platform to resharing activist posts condemning ICE.
