Jason Kelce mocks Taylor Swift fans during New Heights with brother Travis and Bill Murray: ‘I’m very sorry to say this, but you’ll are … See more
Jason Kelce clearly knows his audience as he cracked a little joke at the expense of the fans of Taylor Swift during the latest episode of New Heights.
The Philadelphia Eagles legend and brother Travis Kelce, who has been dating the pop superstar for over a year, were joined by actor Bill Murray during the latest episode of their podcast Wednesday.
The comedian was regaling the brothers with tales of his childhood and his journey into comedy when he began detailing his former improv teacher.
‘Turns out she was one of those ladies that has like cats and everything she wears is purple. I don’t know if these people exist anymore,’ Murray said.
Jason was quick to interject, seizing the chance to give a shout out to Swift’s fanbase, who religiously listen to the show in the hope of being gifted inside snippets about the songstress and her relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
‘No, they do, they definitely do. There’s a lot of them listening to the show right actually,’ Jason said, referencing the Swifties who have begun tuning into the podcast every week since Travis went public with his relationship with the songstress.
The NFL legend was, of course, referring to Swift and her love of cats, which her avid fanbase has adopted.
The ‘Fortnight’ singer is the proud owner of three cats Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Benjamin Button.
The Anti-Hero hitmaker adopted Scottish Fold, Meredith Grey, in 2011, and Olivia Benson, named after Mariska Hargitay’s ‘Law & Order: SVU’ character, in 2014.
She added Benjamin Button, a five-year-old ragdoll, to her little family back in 2019.
She first laid eyes on the feline on the set of Me! that starred both Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson. She fell in love and took the cat home after the photo shoot, bringing her collection to three.
‘Hi honey, you’re beautiful,’ she told the feline as she gently stroked it. ‘He’s purring.’
Benjamin Button’s handler added: ‘He purrs a lot. He’s a purr lot. He flops over on his back and gets belly rubs.
Swift asked: ‘Can I have him?’ and the handler replied: ‘He is available.’
She took him home immediately after the shoot, naming him after fictional character Benjamin Button from the 2008 movie.
Benjamin’s profile shot up last December after he appeared on the cover of Time Magazine with Swift when she was named Person of the Year.
Swift is even so aware of her infamous love of all things feline that she even signed off her Instagram endorsement of Kamala Harris as a ‘childless cat lady.’
The moniker was a term previously used by vice-president-to-be J.D. Vance to describe democrats.
