Ryan Reynolds reveals his big ‘wish’ for pal Taylor Swift following her 37th birthday: He wrote ‘I don’t understand the… See more
Reynolds and the 37-year-old It Ends With Us actress attended three Eras Tour shows — October 25 and 26 in New Orleans, as well as May 29 in Madrid.
Back in late October after hitting the Eras Tour, Reynolds took to his Instagram to pen his support for the You Belong With Me singer in a similar manner.
While sharing snaps from the show, he wrote: ‘I don’t understand the unimaginable work, care, talent and discipline @taylorswift generates to create an experience like this because I’m not a scientist. It’s an athletic event and a collective cultural phenomenon.
‘It’s gigantic but intimate. The only bummer is she can’t be in the audience to experience what everyone else sees and feels. To watch herself up there is something I wish she could know. But that isn’t physically possible and even if it were, you can’t just get tickets last minute.’
Reynolds, Lively and Swift have been close friends since 2015 and have since been spotted enjoying parties together and more recently at Kansas City Chiefs games in support of the pop star’s boyfriend Travis Kelce.
As a nod to her A-list BFF’s, Swift named the characters in her song Betty after Ryan and Blake’s three children at the time — James, Inez and Betty. The track appears on her 2020 album Folklore.
The Eras Tour commenced on March 17 last year in Glendale, Arizona, and grossed well over $1.04 billion, making it the highest-grossing tour in history according to AP.
Throughout her stops on the Eras Tour, the August singer played four surprise songs — that changed for every show — on the piano and acoustic guitar.
And she played nearly every record on her 300+ song discography that she has vocalized on her two-decade long career as an artist.
Swift wrapped the Eras Tour in Vancouver, Canada on December 8. The final three shows in Vancouver were actively being filmed by a two-man camera crew leaving fans convinced she’s filming a second tour movie.
Swift secretly filmed the concert film during her string of shows in Los Angeles back in August of 2023 — the film was released two months later on October 13.
It holds the record of the highest grossing concert film of all time as it raked in over $261million at the worldwide box office.
Taylor Swift and her team have yet to confirm if another film project is in the works. Nonetheless, fans are almost certain the blonde beauty — who is known for her easter eggs and surprises — has a secret sequel up her sleeve.
The Eras Tour Book was released exclusively at Target earlier this month for $39.99.
Describing the set’s visuals and props, Swift said she aimed to ‘create the illusion of an alien abduction, a battle scene, a religious institution, a mental institution, a haunted house and a showgirl’s dressing room routine.’
The 1 singer also described the book as the ‘official retrospective of the most wonderful tour of her life.’
She also sparked rumors of a possible twelfth album and another tour with the final line in the Eras Tour Book: ‘See you next era.’
