Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole couldn’t resist rubbing salt in the wounds after his crushing defeat in the Super Bowl on Sunday night.

Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs were destroyed by the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans, where their bid for a historic three-peat came crashing down spectacularly.

Patrick Mahomes threw two costly interceptions in a 40-22 defeat which almost flattered them in the end, with rival quarterback Jalen Hurts stealing the show for the Eagles to clinch his first championship.

It proved a night of humiliation for the Chiefs and particularly Kelce, who was largely anonymous at Caesars Superdome while girlfriend Taylor Swift watched on from the stands.

The legendary tight end registered just four catches and 39 yards from six targets on a miserable night for Kansas City, before slumping off the field and back to the locker room while looking on the verge of tears.

And if that wasn’t bad enough, just moments after he headed down the tunnel Kelce’s ex-girlfriend joined the Philly celebrations on the field.

Nicole, who dated Kelce on and off for five years before they went their separate ways in 2022, could be seen dancing on the Chiefs’ grave in videos shared on her Instagram story.

The influencer and media personality posed on the field as the Eagles celebrated their second Super Bowl triumph, while even holding up some green and white confetti at one stage.

‘They said there’s room on the wagon y’all,’ she captioned one of the posts.

Nicole was rooting for a Philadelphia victory while sitting in and amongst Eagles fans at the Superdome, where she joked earlier in the evening about jumping on the ‘bandwagon’ while singing their famous ‘Fly Eagles Fly’ chant.

She then watched on as her ex-boyfriend was condemned to an embarrassing defeat at the hands of the Eagles, and in front of his new flame Taylor Swift.

Last month, Kayla explained that she didn’t want the Chiefs to win a third straight Super Bowl as she was ‘bored’ of watching them dominate the NFL.

‘They’ve got the threats, so, as much as I’d love to see somebody else in the Super Bowl, just to see something new, it’s not gonna happen,’ she said on the I Am Athlete podcast late last month.

Kayla did compliment both Travis and the Chiefs’ offense, nevertheless, which she was able to observe up close during their relationship.

‘They have guys they can throw the ball to who aren’t going to drop the ball in the end zone,’ she said. ‘Travis Kelce – that’s a tight end that’s not gonna do it, [drop the ball].’

To add to his woes on Sunday night, Kelce could only watch on as girlfriend Swift was loudly booed by fans in attendance at the Superdome.

Taylor, who previously supported the Eagles before her romance with Travis, received a hostile reception when she appeared on the jumbotron early on in the game, before she was seen looking confused.

DailyMail.com later revealed Kelce’s reaction to the shocking moment, which led to Donald Trump claiming that she had a ‘tougher night than the Chiefs’.

A source close to Kelce said: ‘Travis was aware of Taylor getting booed and he felt helpless. Seeing the look on her face got to him.

‘He always protects her and it broke his heart. He was already having a tough night and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn’t help. Travis knows that this hurt her and anyone can see this.

‘It’s clear to many that the Eagles fans feel she is a traitor of sorts – being from Pennsylvania and even wearing Eagles gear prior to dating him. Travis believes that it was unnecessary for Trump to take a dig at her especially after he voiced that he was honored for a president to be there.

‘After Taylor being shut out for a Grammy and Travis losing the biggest game of the year it just hasn’t been a good week for them. But he knows that even though this is not a happy ending to the season having her love gives him so much joy.’

With an Eagles-heavy crowd in attendance, and given her obvious Chiefs-leaning fandom, the reaction to Swift’s presence was not kind.

In the moment, the pop megastar clearly noticed the booing, and a lip reader revealed that she said: ‘Aww what, what’s going on’ as it happened.

She gave a mocking side-eye response as fans mercilessly mocked her – and it turned out to just be the start of a terrible night for the Chiefs clan.
