Patrick Mahomes broke his silence on Travis Kelce returning to the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday afternoon with a social-media message from ‘The Last Dance’.

Mahomes’ message shows Michael Jordan’s security guard, John Michael Wozniak, giving his infamous shrug after one of the basketball legend’s signature performances, as first displayed from the beloved ESPN documentary.

Kelce and Mahomes are reuniting after five Super Bowl appearances together in the last six seasons, as the tight end confirm he was not retiring to Pat McAfee.

Kelce’s future was up in the air after the team’s loss in the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this month. Kelce has been atop the tight end depth chart in Kansas City for Mahomes’ entire stay as the team’s starting quarterback.

Mahomes’ favorite target as Kansas City’s quarterback will run it back for at least one more season as his public profile continues to grow as Taylor Swift’s boyfriend.

Patrick and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, have become arguably the closest couple to Swift and Kelce since their public relationship began in September 2023.

Swift and Brittany Mahomes have sat together in luxury suites at several Chiefs games and were in a box together for last year’s US Open men’s final in New York City with their partners.

‘The Last Dance’ was a 10-episode sports documentary chronicling Jordan’s last season with the Chicago Bulls, which led to his sixth straight championship season.

It was designed to be the ultimate collection of events that led to the end of his professional career, until Jordan un-retired for a second time to play for the Washington Wizards.

Kelce will turn 36 in the middle of the next NFL season, as attention on him now shifts to whether he’ll play his next down as an engaged man.
