BREAKING NEWS: CNN just aired this devastating montage highlighting the deep contradictions between Donald Trump’s campaign promises and his governing. This is a must watch.
Donald Trump was torn apart live on air in another humiliating blow to the president following his renewed interest in taking over Greenland. Over the weekend, the Republican leader gave the green light to conduct a military operation in Venezuela.
The surprise attack led by US forces in Caracas apprehended the leader, Nicolas Maduro, and his wife in the early hours of Saturday morning (January 3).
The surprising move shocked the world and raised alarm bells in Denmark and Greenland, a semi-autonomous Danish territory and part of NATO.
Now, CNN has aired a new montage clip highlighting the major changes in the politician’s views on international affairs from his campaign promises to his current governance.
The news network compared what Trump has been saying over the last few days about foreign interventions to what he said during his campaign trail and running for office.
In the first side-by-side comparison, they shared a clip from Sunday (January 4) where he discussed his concerns about Colombia. Trump stated: “Colombia is very sick too, it’s run by a sick man who likes making cocaine and selling it to the United States, and he’s not going to be doing it for very long.”

They then shared a contrasting clip from May 2024, in which he argued: “We believe that the job of the United States military is not to wage endless regime change and wars.”

The camera then returned to his Sunday night rant, where he appeared to contradict himself by stating: “We have to do something with Mexico. Mexico has to get its act together because they’re pouring through Mexico. The cartels are running Mexico, whether you like it or not.”
In the fourth clip taken from December 6, 2016, the politician argued: “We will stop racing to topple foreign regimes that we know nothing about, that we shouldn’t be involved with.”
The network shared several more clips, in which it appeared that the president was contradicting himself and showed his shift in views over the past 10 years.
