BREAKING NEWS: Donald Trump just announced he is opening a brand new resort in Saudi Arabia.
The Trump Organization has unveiled a significant new luxury development in Saudi Arabia, partnering with local developer Dar Global to launch the Trump International Golf Club in Wadi Safar, part of the ambitious Diriyah masterplan near the capital Riyadh.
Announced on January 11, the project features a championship **Trump-branded golf course**, a luxury **Trump International Hotel**, and premium residential units spread across a sprawling 2.6 million square meter gated community.
This marks the Trump Organization’s first entry into the Diriyah area, a flagship initiative under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 to diversify the economy beyond oil through tourism and foreign investment.
The Riyadh development is one of two major Trump-branded projects launched in quick succession, alongside a mixed-use complex in Jeddah called Trump Plaza.
Together, the initiatives represent a combined value of approximately **$10 billion**, with completion expected over the next four to five years, according to Eric Trump, executive vice president of the Trump Organization.
“These projects deliver world-class luxury while respecting Saudi Arabia’s cultural and natural heritage,” said Dar Global CEO Ziad El Chaar.
Eric Trump emphasized the partnership’s strength and the appeal of the Saudi market for high-end real estate.
The announcements coincide with new Saudi regulations allowing foreigners to own property in designated areas for the first time, a move aimed at boosting direct foreign investment and premium developments.
Social media reactions to the news have been sharply divided, with critics highlighting the timing during President Donald Trump’s administration and questioning priorities.
One widely shared post sarcastically noted: “BREAKING: Donald Trump just announced he is opening a brand new resort in Saudi Arabia. I’m glad he’s focused on the things Americans need to make their life better!”
The Trump Organization, managed by Trump’s sons, has expanded its Middle East portfolio in recent years through multiple collaborations with Dar Global, aligning with the region’s growing demand for branded luxury properties.
No direct involvement from President Trump in the operations has been reported.
