BREAKING: Travis Kelce swigs tequila and DJs to Taylor Swift’s Ophelia at Super Bowl party
Days after his fiancée Taylor Swift had her private messages made public, Travis Kelce has been pictured swigging tequila and partying at a pre-Super Bowl bash.
The Kansas City Chiefs champ, 36, appeared to shrug off retirement talk and the drama surrounding Swift, 35, to attend the Sports Illustrated and Tight End University’s Tight Ends & Friends party at San Francisco’s Public Works on Thursday night.
‘He DJ’d for about 10-15 minutes,’ a source told the Daily Mail. ‘He played a couple of Taylor songs and seemed to be in a really good mood.’
The party marked Kelce’s second consecutive night out after hosting his New Heights podcast Super Bowl party on Wednesday.
The three-time Super Bowl winner was seen signing autographs for fans outside of the event, which he presided over with his brother Jason, an NFL alum with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The event was held at Thriller Country Club in San Francisco, days ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl, which will see the New England Patriots take on the Seattle Seahawks.
Kelce lost out on his chance to score a fourth Super Bowl win this year with the Kansas City Chiefs after they failed to advance to the NFL playoffs on January 4 after losing to the Las Vegas Raiders 12 to 14.
It was a devastating blow for a team that had made it all the way to the Super Bowl just one year prior, and landed a back-to-back championship win the year before that.
Now, all eyes have been on Kelce as fans eagerly wait for his official decision on whether or not he will return to the Chiefs for another season.
An insider previously told the Daily Mail that Kelce was feeling ‘a bit defeated right now,’ and that fans can expect a decision on his NFL future in the coming weeks.
‘We will know a few weeks after the Super Bowl if he will be returning or not,’ they said. ‘That is his timeline that he has set to make a decision to play one more year or not.’
The one person that Kelce has been leaning on during such an unprecedented time in his career is none other than his 14-time Grammy winner fiancée, whom he popped the question to in August last year.
The A-list couple are rumored to be tying the knot this summer at Swift’s $18 million Rhode Island mansion.
But wedding talk was recently overshadowed by Swift’s former best pal Blake Lively’s ongoing, and messy, legal wrangle with Justin Baldoni.
Text messages between Swift and Lively were revealed in court documents filed in the federal court in New York in which Lively responded to dozens of claims made by Baldoni as part of the lawsuit over their movie It Ends With Us.
