Caitlin Clark reveals the real reason why she liked Taylor Swift’s bombshell endorsement of Kamala Harris
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has spoken out after she liked Taylor Swift’s Instagram post where the 14-time Grammy winner formally endorsed Kamala Harris for President.
Minutes after Tuesday’s Presidential debate between Harris and Donald Trump ended, Swift posted her endorsement with Clark liking the post within a half hour after it was public.
Clark’s fans should not directly take her liking Swift’s post as a co-endorsement of the Democratic Party’s candidate for President, as she did not formally endorse Harris herself on Wednesday.
‘I think for myself because I have this amazing platform,’ Clark began on why she liked the ‘Anti-Hero’ singer’s post. ‘So I think the biggest thing would be just encouraging people to register to vote.’
‘I think for myself it’s the second time I can vote in an election at 22. I could vote when I was 18. So, I think that’s the biggest thing I can do with the platform that I have. And that’s the same thing Taylor did.’
And I think continue to educate yourself with the candidates that we have and the policies that they’re supporting.’
Swift’s endorsement of Harris comes days after her friend Brittany Mahomes – wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes – appeared to support Donald Trump.
Swift has been dating Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce for the last year, who has yet to like the post himself. However, a source who spoke to DailyMail.com said he is planning to endorse her ‘very soon’.

Patrick Mahomes and Kelce are close friends and the couples sat together at the men’s US Open singles final on Sunday.
They later headed out for a double date in New York, not long after Brittany had hit the headlines by liking several posts on social media in support of Trump.
Swift explained that the Vice President ‘fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.’
Swift added: ‘I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.
‘I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate (Walz), who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades. I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice.’
Swift and Brittany Mahomes developed a close friendship last season, as their partners led the Kansas City Chiefs all the way to the Super Bowl once more. They were regularly seen sitting together at games and hanging out off the field, too.
But the singer’s post is the latest chapter in her and Brittany being on opposite sides of the American political spectrum. A source exclusively told DailyMail.com that they ‘respect that they have different views’ and have made a ‘pact’ to avoid discussing politics last month.
Longtime Clark rival Angel Reese has given a similar message for people to use their right to vote, saying so after former President Barack Obama, and former First Lady Michelle Obama, spoke at
