Cardi B hospitalized after suffering ‘medical emergency,’ cancels her One MusicFest performance
Cardi B revealed she was hospitalized after suffering a “medical emergency” and will no longer be performing at One MusicFest on Saturday.
“I’m so sad to share this news but I’ve been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency the last couple of days and I won’t be able to perform at ONE MusicFest,” the rapper revealed on Instagram Wednesday.
“It breaks my heart that I won’t get to see my fans this weekend and I really wish I could be there.”
The “Bongos” rapper further addressed her fans by thanking them for “understanding” and promised she would “be back better and stronger soon.”
“Don’t worry. Love y’all,” she closed, adding in the caption, “Thank you guys for understanding… I will see you soon 🫶🏽.”
Cardi first gave a glimpse into her medical situation on Monday night when she went Live on Instagram from a hospital bed to slam a prank caller who called child protective services and claimed her three children were in danger.
In the video stream, she admitted she couldn’t “even breathe” as she addressed her viewers, saying, “Motherf–kers have taken s–t too f–king far when you mess with my f–king kids.”
The hospitalization comes just one month after the Grammy-winning artist welcomed her third baby with estranged husband Offset — who she’s currently in the middle of divorcing.
Earlier this month, Cardi shut down speculation that she underwent plastic surgery following her most recent pregnancy after she shared a video of herself discussing how she’s losing weight everywhere on her body except her face.
In response to fans body-shaming her, Cardi B told them “to relax.”
“This is how my body REALLY LOOKS LIKE,” she tweeted, sharing some recent photos of her wearing a nude black dress.
“My body looks exaggerated in the other video cause I have a 5X faja [girdle] on…I want yall to think wit yall brain ..Yall was just praising my body couple days ago …do yall think I went and got surgery in 2 days?”
