How Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s kids feel about their Thanksgiving reunion
One big, happy family.
After Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck “celebrated Thanksgiving as a family,” a source told People how their kids really felt about their reunion.
“The kids love having everyone together,” the insider said. “Jen hosted dinner at her house.”
The celebration was even better as their oldest daughter, Violet, returned home for the holidays from Yale University for the holiday break.
The source added that the entire family had a “nice Thanksgiving” together.
Aside from 18-year-old Violet, the exes also share Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.
An insider also previously Page Six that the “Argo” actor felt “blessed” to spend the holiday with his ex and their three children because he “can just be himself” around them.
“Even though Ben and Jen have been split for a while now, he feels a certain level of comfort with her,” the source explained.
“Ben has a strong relationship with Jen that will never dissipate because they have a lot of history together and she’s the mother of his kids,” they continued.
The source also clarified that this year’s holiday is “not the first time” they’ve celebrated Thanksgiving together since they divorced in 2015 after 10 years of marriage.
“They’ll always be close because they share children together and maintain a friendly co-parenting relationship,” they added.
Earlier on Thanksgiving Day, the former couple and their kids helped feed 2,000 people at the Midnight Mission homeless shelter’s annual Thanksgiving Street Fair.
As for Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Lopez, she celebrated Thanksgiving with her family.
On Friday, the singer posted a photo on Instagram, posing with her turkey.
“I hope everybody had a beautiful and Happy Thanksgiving,” she captioned the pic. “I am so incredibly grateful for all of you.”
The “On the Floor” singer filed for divorce from Affleck in August after two years of marriage.
Meanwhile, Garner has been dating John Miller since 2018. It’s unclear if Miller was present for Thanksgiving.
