iHeartRadio Makes Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Major Announcement Before Awards Ceremony that confirmed fans speculations so far

While Taylor Swift left the 2025 Grammy Awards with zero wins for her album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” which features numerous songs inspired her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, that won’t be the case at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards. “The Tortured Poets Department,” which she released amid her record-breaking “Eras Tour” last April, spent a record 17 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard music charts in 2024, and racked up 7.2 billion streams on Spotify in less than a year, a new record for a female artist. In addition to iHeartRadio honoring Swift with the Tour of the Century award, she earned 10 nominations, including Artist of the year, and Pop artist of the year, while her song “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone earned a nod for Best Collaboration, Best Lyrics, and Best Music Video. While fans hope to see the “Karma” singer at the awards ceremony in Los Angeles on March 17, iHeartRadio couldn’t wait until the live show to announce some exciting Swift news.

iHeartRadio revealed the Swift and Malone won the award for Best Lyrics, calling the track a “lyrical masterpiece. The 35-year-old pop star also earned two nominations in the Favorite Tour Tradition category for the “22” hat moment, and for her “Surprise Songs.” Several hours before the awards ceremony started, iHeartRadio also announced that Swift won the award for Favorite Tour Tradition for her “Surprise Songs.” During all 149 performances of the “Eras Tour,” she surprised fans by singing an acoustic mashup of two songs. At the final “Eras” show in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Dec. 8. Swift actually performed five songs, “A Place in This World,” “New Romantics,” “Long Live,” “New Year’s Day,” and “The Manuscript.”

Kelce is also up for an iHeartRadio Music award. He earned two nominations in the Favorite Surprise Guest category after joining Swift on stage during the “Eras Tour” stop in London, he appeared during Morgan Wallen’s “One Night at a Time” show alongside Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in Missouri.
