Kerry Washington sent ‘love and prayers’ to her ‘movie huzbin’ Jamie Foxx on Thursday, wishing the actor a speedy recovery after he was rushed to the hospital earlier this week.

Foxx, 55, suffered a ‘medical complication’ on Tuesday and is reportedly on the mend after his family released an update via social media on Wednesday.

Taking to Instagram herself, Washington, 46, captioned a sweet photo of her cuddling up to the Oscar Winner, writing: ‘A @iamjamiefoxx appreciation post. Sending you all the love and prayers my movie huzbin.’

Red hearts and prayer hand emojis filled Kerry’s post as the Emmy-winning star referenced her two roles alongside Foxx.

The pair first played husband and wife in the 2004 Ray Charles biopic, Ray, and again in 2012 when Kerry took on the role of Jamie’s enslaved wife Broomhilda in Quentin Tarantino’s epic Western, Django Unchained.

And Washington wasn’t the only leading lady in Hollywood to send Jamie well-wishes. Fellow Oscar winner Viola Davis, 57, posted a moving message of support to the Ray star on Instagram.

Captioning a picture of them together, Davis wrote: ‘Get well @iamjamiefoxx. We need you… your light, your brilliance.’

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais, 56, also penned a sweet appreciation post for Foxx, writing: ‘This an appreciation post for my friend @iamjamiefoxx. J I love you so much !!! I want & need you to get better soon. Sending you light love and prayers

The outpouring of love for Foxx comes after his family released a statement that characterized the star’s mysterious health incident as a ‘medical complication.’

But a source described the issue to TMZ in more serious terms, calling it a ‘medical emergency,’ though they said Foxx was now ‘communicating’ again.

In their statement, Foxx’s family also revealed that the A-lister was ‘on his way to recovery.’ DailyMail.com reached out to representatives for Foxx, who have not yet responded.

Posted by Jamie’s daughter Corinne Foxx, 29, the family’s statement read: ‘We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday [Tuesday].

‘Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.’

Sources confirmed to TMZ that Foxx’s unnamed condition was indeed serious enough to require him to go to a hospital.

Few details have been shared, and it’s unclear what symptoms the Oscar winner may have been suffering from, or what led to him being taken to the hospital.

Despite his family’s statement that his condition is improving, there’s no word yet on when he will be able to leave the hospital or get back to filming.

Foxx has been in Atlanta, Georgia shooting the Netflix action-comedy Back in Action with Cameron Diaz, but the production has reportedly spiraled into a full-blown nightmare.
