Summer House star Kyle Cooke broke his silence on his longtime feud with comedian Hannah Berner while walking the blue carpet at the DailyMail.com party at the Arlo Hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Wednesday night.
Cooke, 42, has been at odds with Berner since their days together on the hit Bravo show, and over the summer, their feud was ignited again after Berner claimed on a podcast that Cooke had something to do with her firing from the show after season five.
However, it looks like Cooke has been able to bury the hatchet – at least somewhat – as he shared with DailyMail.com just how proud he was of how much Berner has accomplished in the past few years, along with his costar, Paige DeSorbo.
The two of them host a widely popular podcast called The Giggly Squad together, and are currently on a country-wide tour, while Berner’s career in comedy landed her a Netflix special this summer.
While Cooke revealed that he had not spoken to Berner recently, he admitted that he was ‘proud’ of their successful Giggly Squad podcast.
‘All I can say is this about Hannah and Paige, I am so proud of what they’ve built,’ Cooke, who DJ’ed the exclusive party, told DailyMail.com.
‘They’ve built a community, they’ve built a platform, they’re hilarious, they’re entertaining, they have obviously taken it from the podcast to the live stage, they’re on tour,’ he continued.
Cooke explained that he’s especially impressed with what they’ve built, as it’s ‘hard to break through’ in the podcast world.
‘Whatever happened in the past, I’d like to think that one day, Hannah and I can break bread, and put it behind us,’ he said.
Cooke’s wife, Amanda Batula, also fell out with Berner while they were on the show, which follows the lives of a group of friends spending the summer in The Hamptons.
It’s unclear exactly what their friendship status is today.
However, Batula remains extremely close with DeSorbo, who is the other half of the podcast show.
Both will remain cast members on the upcoming season of Bravo’s hit Summer House – and Cooke was able to tease what viewers can expect.
All in all, I think everyone is going to have a lot to look forward to, it was a great summer, very different from last,’ the Loverboy cocktail founder told DailyMail.com.
‘There’s always a good chance that some of the dominating storylines from one season will kind of overshadow everything the following season, so this was different in the best possible way.’
This summer will definitely be an interesting one, too, as former fiancé’s Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke will both be living in the house together after they called off their engagement in August 2023.
Plus, Hubbard is now pregnant – by her new boyfriend.
‘I give them both a lot of credit, because it’s not a normal situation, right?’ Cooke told us.
‘I guess that is where the show introduces an element that is probably the most abnormal in our nine years, but you know what, it kind of reminds me of so many different friends that had traumatic breakups but the friend group didn’t break up,’ he continued.
‘They’re still able to coexist and socialize and have fun, I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised that that isn’t what the focus is all about.’
Cooke also gave us an exclusive tease at a new product Lover Boy has been cooking up – a soda infused with THC called Flowerboy.
The Summer House star even brought the can – which was a gorgeous orange color – onto the blue carpet to give us a sneak peek of the drink which will be dropping soon.
It has 5 mg of THC and 5 grams of sugar, and Cooke says you can ‘feel good’ about drinking it.
