Patrick Mahomes has revealed the surprising career path that he could have taken ‘in another lifetime’ if not for football.
The 29-year-old is of course a three-time champion, two-time MVP and considered by many the best player in the NFL as his Chiefs prepare for the Super Bowl this weekend.
But before his team plays the Eagles this weekend, Mahomes shared that he has an aptitude for music as well.
‘I think in another lifetime, with this voice I might be a country singer,’ he said after being asked what his hidden talent was.
‘So I might have to bring that out after retire.’
Mahomes also shared another unknown talent – one which teammate Travis Kelce has apparently never beaten him at.
‘I’m really good at ping pong,’ he said. ‘If you ask Trav, Trav’s never beaten me in ping pong, so that’s one.’
While the quarterback is not quite a singer by trade, he has been eager to belt out his voice at times.

A home video from 1999 shows Mahomes singing ‘Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.’
And he was seen singing along to Taylor Swit’s hits last July as he attended her Eras Tour show in Amsterdam alongside Travis Kelce.
Nonetheless, he’ll be sternly focused on one goal this weekend: beating the Eagles
