Philly turns on hometown girl Taylor Swift and reveal why Super Bowl could have been WORSE for her

Taylor Swift may want to steer clear of her hometown after her fellow Philadelphians delivered some brutal verdicts on the Super Bowl booing of the pop sensation.
Swift had a miserable evening in New Orleans on Sunday, not only having to watch boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs suffer a humiliating defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles but also getting booed heartily by the fans in attendance and facing the wrath of President Donald Trump on social media.
The booing from the fans inside the stadium – predominantly Eagles supporters – was particularly brutal for the ‘Anti-Hero’ hitmaker given her Philadelphia roots.
And as her fellow Pennsylvania natives welcomed their Super Bowl champions and the Lombardi Trophy home Friday, many Eagles fans believed she had it coming – even if it wasn’t necessarily her fault.
‘She’s basically a traitor. She should stay solid with Philly, that’s where she’s from,’ one fan told DailyMail.com at Friday’s Super Bowl parade.
However, he did show some sympathy admitting that the songstress isn’t the only one to feel the wrath of the omni-passionate Philadelphia fans.
‘I don’t know if she necessarily deserved it but at the same time it just happens, I mean Eagles fans boo their own players when they’re doing bad,’ he added.
‘I don’t know if she necessarily deserved it but at the same time it just happens, I mean Eagles fans boo their own players when they’re doing bad,’ he added.
‘It’s not necessarily a whole thing about her. It just had to be expected, she was an Eagles fan and then she traded that in to go with the Chiefs. You can’t expect anything less. I don’t think it was anything personal, it just happened to be about the team she was rooting for that day.’
Another woman agreed, claiming the incident was a repercussion of betraying Philadelphia.
‘She switched over, so I feel like she deserved the boos just as little bit. No hard feelings though, we still love you Taylor,’ she said.
President Trump, who has a longstanding hatred of the 14-time Grammy Award winner, had reveled in the booing, twisting the knife on Truth Social where he claimed the taunting had sent her fleeing from Caesars Superdome.
While Trump’s jab was unfounded – Swift in fact stayed for every depressing minute of the Chiefs’ nightmare – a group of young men warned that she may not have survived the in-stadium attack if it had come at Lincoln Financial Field.
‘She deserved it even more,’ they said. ‘If she came to Philly, she’d get booed out of the stadium.’
Meanwhile, others insisted that Swift wasn’t a special case. She was just another victim of the intense Philadelphia fan culture.
‘Here’s the deal, we boo everybody,’ one man explained to DailyMail.com. ‘And the fact of the matter is she was with her boyfriend Travis Kelce who’s a Chiefs player, so she’s affiliated with the Chiefs.’
His wife claimed that the ‘I Can Do It With A Broken Heart’ singer would have shaken it off by now – despite DailyMail.com’s report that the booing broke Kelce’s heart.
‘I think she knew what she was getting herself into to be honest. She’s so strong willed, she didn’t care,’ she chimed in.
A handful appeared to defend both Swift and their own fanbase, pointing the finger at someone else entirely.
‘I don’t think it was her fault; I think it was the NFL’s fault because they’re the ones who put her on the camera. She’s just there supporting her boyfriend,’ one man told DailyMail.com.
‘I feel it’s not necessary. It’s this new station that puts her on the screen. That’s not her fault,’ another young woman agreed.
‘But I think it was fair fun that she’s rooting for the other team, so they’re going to boo. They would have moved anyone’s girlfriend.
‘It’s not nice, but it’s football, not singing. It’s like when people ask him [Kelce] questions about Taylor Swift, like ‘are you gonna propose?’ No, this is about football. Leave that out. She’s taking away from football.’
While Swift may not have been in the direct firing line during the Eagles’ Super Bowl parade Friday, her fans were.
CJ Gardner-Johnson mocked Swifties with a custom-made sweatshirt worn on a wild day with the words: ‘Swifties can LIX my balls’.
LIX are the roman numerals for the number 59, which was the number of the recent Super Bowl that the Eagles won. It follows his taunting of Kelce, which sparked a war with the singer’s loyal fanbase.
