SHOCKING REASON WHY Houston Texans Star Kris Boyd SHOVED his coach seconds into NFL playoff game vs Kansas City Chiefs

Texans cornerback Kris Boyd had a nightmarish start to his team’s divisional round playoff loss at the Chiefs as he committed a massive penalty and then shoved his own coach.

Following a 63-yard kickoff return to open the game for the Chiefs, Boyd tossed his helmet to the ground as he appeared to prematurely celebrate forcing a fumble on Nikko Remigio at the end of the play (the ball was actually recovered by the Chiefs).

Boyd’s helmet throw resulted in a 15-yard penalty being tacked onto the return, and he then shockingly shoved Frank Ross after being berated by the special teams coach.

The defensive back continued yelling at Ross after pushing him, which led to the coach putting his hand on the player’s chest to calm him down.

Despite the Chiefs taking their first snap of the game at Houston’s 13-yard-line, the two-time defending champions were held to a field goal.

Nonetheless, Boyd was slammed online for his behavior early in the game, which finished 23-14 in favor of Kansas City.

‘You got to cut [Kris] Boyd on the spot,’ Barstool Sports boss Dave Portnoy said on X.

‘What the f*** is Chris Boyd doing? He’s f***ing done right?,’ a fan asked.

Another fan called him a ‘stupid and undisciplined punk’ and ‘an embarrassment to the entire city of Houston.’

However, Fox Sports NFL insider Jordan Schultz defended Boyd.

‘Seems like a big deal, but it’s not: This is the playoffs! Emotions run high and dudes are passionate!,’ he said.

Others also compared his actions to Travis Kelce’s shove of Andy Reid in last year’s Super Bowl.

Boyd, 28, was a seventh-round pick in 2019 and played the first four years of his career with the Vikings.

He began last season with the the Cardinals before being released and signed by the Texans in October 2023.

Boyd was also fined $9,526 for fighting during the Texans’ game vs. the Titans on January 5, according to Spotrac.
