Taylor Swift hilariously reveals how she really feels about Travis Kelce’s rival after Super Bowl

Nearly a year after the Kansas City Chiefs won their second-straight Super Bowl, Taylor Swift has spoken out about Travis Kelce’s on-field championship rival, 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy.

Purdy came incredibly close to leading San Francisco to victory over Kansas City in February.

However, it was the Chiefs who defeated the 49ers in overtime with Swift watching from an Allegiant Stadium luxury suite, jetting to Las Vegas just in time for the game after wrapping the Japanese leg of her ‘Eras Tour’.

Kelce starred for the Chiefs in the championship tilt, with Swift getting onto the field and kissing her boyfriend five months after their public romance began. The 14-time Grammy winner and host of ‘Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?’ are still going strong 15 months after they first appeared in public together.

While greeting patients at Children’s Mercy Hospital last week in Kansas City, Swift was asked whether her song ‘Paper Rings’ was about Purdy.

‘I don’t mind Brock Purdy. He put me through a lot last February. I was very stressed for a second,’ Swift said.

‘Paper Rings’ was released in 2019 while Purdy was still playing for Iowa State and four years before Swift started dating Kelce.

It was written as a love song, with the paper ring in question a wedding ring, not one Kelce owns from winning a football championship.

The Monday before the 49ers’ loss to Kansas City saw Purdy asked by NFL RedZone host Scott Hanson at the Super Bowl’s Opening Night – ‘It’s late in the fourth quarter, are you prepared to disappoint Taylor Swift?’

Purdy quickly smirked and answered ‘Yes. I’ll leave it at that.’

Swift’s romance with Kelce was one of the main storylines entering last year’s Super Bowl and has been in gridiron circles since.

The Chiefs look prepped to make another deep playoff run this season at 13-1. The ‘Eras Tour’ ended earlier this month, meaning Swift does not have any major concerts scheduled before next year’s Super Bowl.

It’s also nice to hear she does not harbor any resentment for Purdy for nearly taking away her moment in the Vegas spotlight with Kelce.
