There Could Still Be Hope for Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s Marriage

Hopelessly devoted Bennifer shippers will be pleased to know that even amid their reported marriage strain, there is still hope Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s relationship will prevail.

Although the two are living separate lives, a source told Us Weekly neither of them have “made a decision” regarding their rumored split and there is a “sliver of hope” for reconciliation.

The estranged couple are “doing their own thing right now,” a second source said. They added, “Jennifer suggested they just take time to figure it out.”

A third insider elaborated, saying, “They are going through so much individually and as a couple. They may take some time to see if this complicated moment can resolve itself and they come back to each other [as] better people.”

They added that “they don’t hate each other,” but are just going through “difficult times” and hope to remain amicable.

The couple recently spent the July 4 weekend apart, with Lopez sunning in the Hamptons and Affleck at home in Los Angeles with his kids. Although, for what it’s worth, they both appeared to be wearing their wedding rings; the Hustlers star was also spotted wearing a charm bracelet with the letter “B,” presumably for Ben.

Last month, the “On the Floor” singer enjoyed a solo vacation in Italy while Affleck packed up his stuff in their shared Beverly Hills mansion. The two have been living apart since May, with Lopez residing in their $60 million home while the Gone Girl star has been renting a property a few miles away, close to the set of his forthcoming movie, The Accountant 2. Rumors of a marriage strain first emerged that same month after they weren’t seen together in public for 47 days.
