Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce broke the internet on Monday night with a flirty and foul-mouthed first glimpse of their New Heights podcast appearance – before the pop superstar dropped a shock new album at 12:12am.

‎Travis and his brother Jason Kelce co-host the popular show and supporters have long been calling for the Chief star’s girlfriend to be brought on… and this week, their wish will be granted at last.
‎
‎Her appearance was first teased on Monday morning with a mystery silhouette that fans believed to be Swift. Then at 10pm, a 13-second clip confirmed the very special guest.
‎
‎Just two hours later, the Swiftie meltdown was complete when the singer announced her 12th album – titled ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ – at 12:12am ET on August 12.
‎
‎’So I wanted to show you something,’ Swift, who is sitting alongside her boyfriend Travis, tells Jason in the second teaser clip.
‎
‎’What do we got?’ he asks, while Travis smirks and sticks out his tongue. Swift then digs out a personalized briefcase and opens it up. ‘What’s in it?’ the elder Kelce brother asks.

‎’This is my brand new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,”‘ Swift explains, pulling out the record. The album cover is blurred in the New Heights video.

‎Swift had also teased her fans with a countdown on her new website, which hit zero at the exact moment the New Heights clip was posted.
‎
‎Her site initially crashed, due to the volume of fans trying to access it, before eventually a presale link allowed fans to order a vinyl, cassette, CD and poster of the new album – though the artwork remains a secret.

‎Earlier on Monday, the couple were seen flirting in a 13-second clip. It represented the first time they have been heard interacting in public.
‎
‎’It’s such a nice color on you,’ Swift says to her NFL star boyfriend, who is wearing a blue hoodie. ‘Yes,’ he replies. ‘I know, it’s the color of your eyes, sweetie. That’s why we match so well.’

‎Swift and Kelce have become arguably the most famous couple in the world since they began dating two years ago.
‎
‎There was even some fan speculation that the pair could use this week’s special episode to announce their engagement, but it has now been confirmed that instead, new music is on the agenda.

‎Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the NFL were among those to re-post the initial clip, which amassed 1.5million views within 20 minutes of appearing online and sat at 8m by midnight.

‎WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark, meanwhile, commented on the clip on Instagram, writing: ‘Ahhhhhh!!!!!! LFGGGGGGG’

‎Clark has previously sat alongside Swift at a Kansas City Chiefs game, watching Kelce – a three-time Super Bowl champion – in action.

‎Anticipation will only continue to ramp up ahead of the release of the full podcast, which is due to drop at 7pm ET on Wednesday night.

‎This week’s return of New Heights ends a near-month-long wait for episode No 150. The Kelce brothers briefly paused the show while Travis went into training camp with the Chiefs ahead of what many believe will be his final season in the NFL.

‎Eagle-eyed Swifties, meanwhile, noticed that the 13-second promo appeared 13 hours after a first teaser of this week’s special guest. The singer has previously said that 13 is her lucky number.

‎’I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks,’ she previously told MTV News. ‘My first No 1 song had a 13-second intro. Every time I’ve won an award I’ve been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter. Basically whenever a 13 comes up in my life, it’s a good thing.’

‎The superstar pair have enjoyed a private summer – spending time together in Kansas City, Nashville and New York among other places – but the podcast appearance is set to give fans a rare insight into their relationship.

‎In May, Travis’ brother Jason – who retired from the NFL at the end of the 2023 season – refused to rule out the possibility of Swift joining her boyfriend on the podcast.

‎Speaking at an Amazon event on the Upper West Side of NYC in May, the former center was asked who he would most like to have on the show.
‎
‎’Anybody we get a chance to talk to, I’m super excited about,’ he replied. ‘It’s a unique world where Trav and I get to talk to childhood heroes and people that we looked up to in the entertainment world, or in the sports world; some of the guys and women that are at the top of their game currently.
‎
‎’I think that’s one of the things that people really like about the show, is the family aspect of it; the brotherhood,’ he added. ‘I think a lot of that people can relate to, so. But, yeah, always exciting to get Mom on.’

‎In response, the interviewer noted: ‘We’d love to have Taylor Swift on as well…’ Kelce then gave little away, replying: ‘You and a lot of other people… for sure.’
‎
‎Jason’s wife Kylie, with whom he shares four daughters, has made multiple appearances on the podcast, even sharing the story of how the couple met via Tinder.
‎
‎The brothers’ parents, Ed and Donna Kelce, have also made separate guest appearances on the show.
‎
‎Earlier this summer, meanwhile, Kelce finally went ‘Instagram official’ with his superstar girlfriend, posting a string of intimate pictures from their ‘offseason adventures.’
‎
‎The Kansas City Chiefs legend shared a number of loved-up photos with Swift on social media. The couple were seen enjoying dinner, clowning around in the snow and skating on an ice rink.
‎
‎They also took photos with different groups of friends, one of which included NFL reporters Charissa Thompson and Erin Andrews and their respective partners.
‎
‎Kelce’s older brother Jason, mom Donna and dad Ed also featured in the Instagram dump, as did Swift’s younger brother Austin.
