‎Swift made the announcement in a sweet Instagram post , sharing photos from the intimate engagement shoot, as she was surrounded by what looked to be an enchanted garden full of pink, white, and red flowers.

‎’Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,’ Swift captioned the set of photos, which showed the Kansas City Chiefs tight end getting down on one knee in the sea of plants and florals.

‎The news sent fans wild, as many had extremely emotional reactions after they found out.

‎Now, Kelce’s dad, Ed, is sharing more about the couple’s engagement and their future plans – including whether or not he will be paying for their rehearsal dinner. He answered the question while speaking to News 5 Cleveland Tuesday.

‎’As the father of the groom, are you still on the hook for the rehearsal dinner, or do you think he’s gonna help you out with that?’ reporter John Kosich asked the dad-of-two. ‘I think he’ll help me out on that one,’ Ed laughed in response.

‎During the interview, which has now gone viral, Ed also revealed that Kelce had proposed to Swift nearly two weeks earlier. ‘Travis actually did the proposal maybe two weeks… not quite two weeks ago,’ Ed told the outlet.

‎’He was going to put it off till this week. I think she was getting maybe a little antsy, but he was going to put her off till this week to make some grand thing, to make it a big special event,’ he continued.

‎’And I told him repeatedly, you could do it on the side of the road, do it any place that makes it a special event… when you get down on one knee and ask her to marry you.’

‎Ed shared that Kelce proposed to the Cruel Summer hitmaker at his home in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

‎’He got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said, “let’s go out and have a glass of wine,”… they got out there, and that’s when he asked her, and it was beautiful,’ Ed shared.
